SMS Terms and Opt-In

Last updated: August 1, 2026

Atlas can work with you over text message. This page describes exactly how you opt in, what you receive, how often, and how to stop at any time. It is the whole of the program disclosure — there is nothing about Atlas text messages that is not on this page.

Atlas texts from +1 (844) 482-9190. You opt in by texting that number first — Atlas never sends the first message and never texts a number that has not texted it. Reply STOP at any time to end messages; reply HELP for help. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. No mobile information is shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

1. The number Atlas messages from

Atlas sends and receives text messages at +1 (844) 482-9190. This is the only number Atlas uses to text you. If you receive a text claiming to be Atlas from any other number, it is not us — please report it to support@atlasknows.io.

The program is operated by Commonwealth Creative for the Atlas service. It is a conversational service: you write to Atlas the way you would write to a colleague, and Atlas writes back.

2. How you opt in

You opt in by texting +1 (844) 482-9190 from your mobile phone. That message is your consent to receive text messages from Atlas at that number, and it is the only way to opt in.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of buying anything from Atlas. Everything Atlas does is available over the web and over email without ever sending a text.

  • •Atlas never sends the first message. If your number has not texted Atlas, Atlas does not text your number.
  • •We do not buy, rent, import, or scrape phone lists, and we never add a number on someone else's behalf.
  • •Giving Atlas your number some other way — typing it into the app, writing it in an email, saying it in conversation — does not opt you in. Only a text sent from that phone does.
  • •Opting in covers the phone number the message came from, and nobody else's.

3. What you receive once you opt in

Messages from Atlas are about your own account and the work you have asked Atlas to do. There are no promotional or marketing text messages in this program, and there is no third-party advertising in it.

  • •Replies to what you send — answers, findings, and documents you asked for
  • •Notices about work Atlas is doing for you, including findings it thinks are worth telling you about
  • •Account and service notices, such as sign-in links you requested and billing or trial notifications
  • •Picture messages (MMS), in both directions: you can text Atlas a photo of a document, and Atlas may send an image or file back

4. Message frequency

Message frequency varies, and it depends on how you use Atlas. This is a conversational service rather than a scheduled one: most messages are direct replies to something you sent, so the more you write to Atlas the more you hear back.

Atlas may also message you without being asked when it has found something about your business worth telling you. It stays quiet when it has not.

5. Message and data rates

Message and data rates may apply. Atlas does not charge you for text messages, but your mobile carrier may charge you for the messages you send and receive under the terms of your own plan. Check with your carrier if you are unsure what your plan includes.

6. How to get help — reply HELP

Reply HELP to any message from Atlas, or text HELP to +1 (844) 482-9190, and you will get a reply telling you what this program is, how to stop messages, and how to reach a person.

You can also email support@atlasknows.io at any time, whether or not you have ever texted us.

7. How to stop messages — reply STOP

Reply STOP to any message from Atlas, or text STOP to +1 (844) 482-9190. You will receive one message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and after that Atlas will not text that number again.

STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END and QUIT work the same way. If you change your mind, text START to the same number, or simply text Atlas again — either one opts you back in.

Stopping text messages does not cancel your Atlas account, and it does not stop Atlas from working. Atlas continues over the web and over email. To cancel an account, use the billing settings in your account or email support@atlasknows.io.

8. Carriers and delivery

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier and on your device, and neither Atlas nor your carrier guarantees that any particular message arrives.

9. Your phone number and your privacy

Your phone number and the contents of your messages are used only to provide the Atlas service to you. No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, and no mobile opt-in data is sold, rented, or shared for those purposes at any time.

The one exception is the plumbing that makes texting work at all: messages pass through the licensed messaging providers and carriers that deliver them, which is how every text message reaches a phone. Those providers process messages on our behalf and are not permitted to use them for their own purposes.

How Atlas handles the rest of your information is described in the Privacy Policy, and the rules for using the service are in the Terms and Conditions.
